Before there was ever a workshop, there was the road. Johnny has spent years living out of van conversions: winding through the Scottish Highlands, chasing coastline around Hawaii, and crisscrossing California more times than he can count. Some trips lasted a few weeks, and one stretched to six months straight.

Between those journeys came Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Africa, each one teaching him something about how little you actually need and how much it matters when the few things you carry are beautiful, practical and exactly where you expect them.

Along the way, Johnny noticed a gap. There were plenty of rugged vans built like garages, and plenty of typical adventure vans, but almost nothing that felt like a real home, built to a truly professional standard. Nothing you'd happily spend a rainy day inside, or live in for months on the road without missing the comfort and beauty of home.

That gap became Treasure Vans. Every detail in our build was learned the honest way: cooking dinner in a cramped galley on a rainy night, waking up somewhere unforgettable, and noticing what made a small space feel like home and what made it feel like a garage. After seven years of building and roughly three years of living on the road himself, Johnny still calls a van home today.
